New Director of Commercialization Appointed at Vineland Research and Innovation Centre

Mike Pautler has been appointed as the new director of commercialization at the Vineland Research and Innovation Centre, where he will oversee a diverse portfolio that includes projects in tree fruit, vegetable seeds, and robotic harvesting technologies. Pautler, who joined Vineland in 2013 as a research scientist focused on applied genomics, has a strong background in horticultural trait development and has played a key role in the growth of Platform Genetics, a spinoff company from Vineland. Dr. Ian Potter, the president and CEO of Vineland, expressed confidence that Pautler’s expertise in strategic business planning and client relationship management will significantly enhance the center’s commercialization efforts. Prior to his tenure at Vineland, Pautler earned his PhD from Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and has published extensively in prestigious scientific journals.
