Upcoming Dark Sky Week: Celebrating and Preserving Darkness in the Tahoe Basin

This initiative aims to raise awareness about light pollution and its detrimental effects on wildlife and human health. In the Greater Lake Tahoe area, efforts to preserve dark skies have gained momentum, particularly in Truckee, California, where new outdoor lighting policies have been introduced to comply with international dark sky standards.
