This enhancement aims to improve lighting, increase safety, and cut electricity costs by over 50%. Residents have reacted positively, appreciating the increased visibility but also calling for similar improvements in darker neighborhoods. Despite the initiative’s success, concerns persist in areas like South Pattaya and Naklua, where residents demand faster action on poor lighting and clearer jurisdiction between local and national authorities regarding unlit roads.
