Belmont Tavern to Shutter Its Doors

The Belmont Tavern, a popular establishment at 784 N. Jefferson Street, is set to close on May 17, paving the way for a new tavern and cocktail lounge by industry veterans Mike and Lauren Foy. The transition aims for a June opening, with plans for a remodeled venue offering a limited food menu alongside entertainment options such as DJs, karaoke, and darts. Michael Vitucci, the current owner, expressed confidence in the Foys’ ability to deliver a great experience, backed by their extensive industry experience. The Milwaukee Common Council is expected to vote on the matter on May 13, following recommendations for approval from local committees. Belmont Tavern will continue operations until its closure, maintaining its established hours and promotions.
