State Administration Allocates Over $1.6 Million to Foster Manufacturing Innovation, Support Business Growth, and Create Opportunities in Three Counties

In 2025, the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) has allocated $17,843,909 in low-interest loans, which have spurred $40,159,713 in private investments, leading to the creation of 116 full-time jobs and the retention of 110 existing positions. DCED Secretary Rick Siger announced the approval of an additional $1,658,836 in loans aimed at bolstering innovation in manufacturing and supporting business expansion. Key projects include funding for Brumbaugh Mountain Welding in Bedford County, iDEAL Semiconductor Devices in Northampton County, and a grocery store in Westmoreland County, with projections to create a total of 70 new jobs while retaining 25 positions. Governor Shapiro’s administration emphasizes economic growth and innovation as part of its broader economic development strategy.
