Nou Mestalla: A Pioneering Stadium for Environmental Sustainability

Starting in the summer of 2027, Valencia CF will unveil the Nou Mestalla, a state-of-the-art stadium designed with a strong emphasis on environmental sustainability. Complying with UEFA’s Sustainable Infrastructure Guidelines, the facility showcases innovative green architecture from Fenwick Iribarren Architects, focusing on energy efficiency and resource management. Key features include a 4 MW power storage system to enhance energy use, extensive LED lighting, and a rainwater recycling system for irrigation, all designed to minimize the venue’s carbon footprint. The stadium’s bioclimatic design caters to Valencia’s climate, promoting natural ventilation and optimal thermal comfort, ensuring a forward-thinking home for the Valencian fanbase.
