New LED System to Illuminate Water Towers

Foley’s water towers are set to be illuminated again as the city council has approved the “Light Up the Tanks” initiative, a collaboration with Riviera Utilities. This project will install new LED lights and electrical infrastructure on two of Foley’s water tanks, reviving their former prominence after previous lighting was lost following repainting. Mayor Ralph Hellmich emphasized the energy-efficient nature of the new LED system, which aims to spotlight the city’s name and logo more effectively. A third tank, deemed less visible, will not be part of the project. The initiative includes the installation of wiring and eight LED lights along the tank handrails, enhancing nighttime visibility and celebrating Foley’s identity.
