New CEO Appointed for GE Lighting in Asia

GE Lighting has announced the promotion of Oscar Wong to Asia Lighting President & CEO, effective November 1, 2012. With 27 years of experience in sales and operations, Wong most recently served as the General Manager of GE Lighting China. His leadership will be pivotal as the company focuses on energy-efficient products and enhancing commercial capabilities. Maryrose Sylvester, current President & CEO, emphasized the importance of Wong’s role in accelerating the commercialization of their vertical solutions and investing in local operations. Meanwhile, Mohamed Butt, the outgoing Asia President & CEO, will transition to lead GE Transportation in China and Southeast Asia.
