Hitachi Appliances Inc. has announced the upcoming launch of the world’s first E26-base wide-light-distribution LED light bulb, the “LDA15D-G,” set to hit the Japanese market on July 13, 2012. This innovative bulb emits a brightness equivalent to a 100W incandescent bulb (1,520 lumens) while consuming only 15.0W, significantly reducing energy use to about one-sixth and extending its lifespan to 40,000 hours. The bulb features advanced technology, including a “Slit Structured Body” for efficient heat release and a “Light Diffusion Cover” to minimize light unevenness. However, it is not suitable for outdoor use or dimming systems and has a larger size than traditional incandescent bulbs. Additionally, on the same day, Hitachi will release the “LDA15L-G,” designed to match the brightness of an 80W incandescent bulb (1,160 lumens).
