DM Savin Bansal Designates Rs 1 Crore Flexible Fund Directly for Headmasters

District Magistrate Savin Bansal has launched ‘Project Utkarsh’ in Dehradun, aimed at modernizing government schools across the district. This initiative focuses on upgrading facilities, including the installation of furniture, enhancing sports infrastructure, and introducing digital classrooms equipped with LED screens. With partnerships from ONGC and HUDCO, furniture has already been provided in various blocks, while 884 large LED TVs are being procured for 168 secondary schools to facilitate digital education. Supported by a budget of Rs 6 crores from multiple funding sources, the project not only aims to level the educational playing field but also includes the allocation of Rs 1 crore for headmasters to enhance basic learning conditions. Additionally, the program promotes vocational training and ensures essential infrastructure improvements like clean water and hygiene facilities.
