Intematix Corporation has announced that its remote phosphor lighting modules have successfully completed 6,000 hours of life testing, achieving 100% initial lumen maintenance, as verified by TÜV SÜD. This testing duration meets the minimum requirements for ENERGY STAR and DesignLights Consortium® (DLC) standards, which typically mandate at least 94.1% lumen maintenance. Remote phosphor technology, which utilizes separate phosphor components powered by blue LEDs, enhances light extraction and uniformity while simplifying supply chains. Julian Carey, Senior Director of Strategic Marketing at Intematix, praised these results as exceptional, reinforcing the reliability of remote phosphor as a solid foundation for long-lasting LED lighting. The company is further engaged in developing new LED lighting test standards and plans to share additional testing results at the upcoming IES Annual Conference in October 2013.
