2025 Kerala Cricket League: New Floodlights Unveiled at Kariavattom Greenfield Stadium; Ceremony Set for August 15

As the Kerala Cricket League (KCL) gears up for its second season, the Kariavattom Greenfield stadium in Thiruvananthapuram will unveil its new LED floodlights on August 15. Replacing outdated metal halide lights, the 392 advanced LED units feature a DMX control system that allows for customizable brightness and dynamic lighting effects. This upgrade, costing ₹18 crore, promises improved visibility for night matches and aligns the stadium with HD broadcasting standards. The inauguration will include a laser show and a friendly match between teams led by cricket stars Sanju Samson and Sachin Baby, with free entry for spectators.
