Chinese Firm Plans Investment in LED Manufacturing Facility in Mongla EPZ

Senxin BD Co. Ltd., a Chinese company, will invest US$10.81 million to set up a manufacturing plant for LED bulbs and packaging materials in the Mongla Export Processing Zone (Mongla EPZ). An agreement was signed on Thursday at the BEPZA Complex in Dhaka between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and Senxin BD, with BEPZA’s Executive Chairman Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman overseeing the ceremony. The facility will produce various LED lighting products and packaging items, creating approximately 717 jobs for Bangladeshi nationals. BEPZA’s Executive Chairman highlighted the importance of attracting diverse industries and expressed confidence in the investment’s potential to boost the local economy.
