Abreu Recognized as Top Improved Driver by Musco Lighting

Rico Abreu of St. Helena was recognized as the Musco Lighting Most Improved Driver at the Kubota High Limit Racing championship awards banquet in Fort Worth, Texas, where he was awarded an additional $5,000 for showing the greatest improvement in his average race finishes. Abreu participated in two sprint car events at Texas Motor Speedway, finishing 13th and 6th in the “A” feature races. Meanwhile, the Northern California Golf Association held its Hall of Fame induction ceremony, honoring Bruce Baker, Tina Barker, Jeff Burda, and Nancy McDaniel, the latter of whom passed away recently after a battle with cancer. Additionally, Napa’s Maddie Klungel excelled in volleyball at Seton Hall, and Jack Squires achieved notable success in masters track and field events. Local athletes from various sports received recognitions, showcasing their talents and achievements in both individual and team competitions.
