Ararat Tennis Club Expanding Opportunities for Players

The Ararat Rural City Council has received a significant boost of $560,000 in grant funding from the State Government to enhance facilities at the Ararat tennis Club. This funding will facilitate upgrades including new sports lighting, improved accessibility features such as pathways and signage, and on-site disabled parking. These enhancements aim to create a safer and more inclusive environment for players and visitors, promoting greater participation in community sports. The project is part of the State Government’s Regional Community Sports Infrastructure Fund, which supports local sports initiatives and aims to improve community engagement in athletic activities. Deputy Mayor Cr. Bob Sanders expressed enthusiasm for the project’s potential to increase evening play and overall community involvement in tennis.
