Avago Technologies Unveils Compact 3-Watt Miniature High Brightness LEDs for Solid-State Lighting Applications

Avago Technologies has launched the ASMT-Jx3x, one of the industry’s smallest high-brightness 3-Watt LEDs, measuring just 5 mm by 4 mm by 1.85 mm. Designed for a variety of solid-state lighting applications, this compact LED can operate at up to 700 mA, delivering a high flux output of up to 160 lumens while ensuring a maximum viewing angle of 165 degrees. It features moisture sensitivity level-one capability, high ESD resistance, and is compatible with standard SMT reflow soldering processes. Priced at $1.84 each in bulk, the ASMT-Jx3x is ideal for applications like portable lighting, street lighting, and architectural illumination. Samples and production quantities are now available through Avago’s sales channels.
