BMO Field Undergoing Major Renovations to Enhance Fan Experience for Upcoming World Cup
BMO Field is set to undergo significant renovations in preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, aimed at enhancing the fan experience. The improvements include increasing the stadium‘s capacity from around 28,000 to 45,000, along with the installation of four new LED scoreboards. The announcement was made by Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow and other officials at the venue, where work has already begun. Other upgrades will feature improved LED sports lighting, advanced audio systems, and expanded WiFi access, ensuring a modern and immersive experience for attendees during the tournament.
