Boeing CEO Engages with Air India Leader Following Ahmedabad Flight 171 Incident

Boeing President and CEO Kelly Ortberg extended condolences after the tragic crash of Air India Flight 171 shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad Airport. Speaking with Air India Chairman N Chandrasekaran, Ortberg offered Boeing’s full support and announced that a team is ready to assist the investigation led by India’s Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau. The London-bound Boeing 787-8 crashed into a medical college complex, resulting in a significant loss of life among the 242 individuals on board, including passengers from India, the UK, Portugal, and Canada. Boeing will defer to the AAIB for further information in accordance with international protocols.
