Brown Park to Illuminate with New LED Lighting

The Shire of Mundaring Council has approved a significant upgrade to the lighting at Brown Park’s upper oval in Swan View, awarding a $508,769 contract to Greenlite Electrical Contractors for the installation of modern, energy-efficient LED lights. This initiative aims to enhance visibility for local sporting clubs and community events, allowing for extended evening usage of the facility. Funded in part by contributions from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, Cricket Australia, and the Swan View Cricket Club, the upgrade aligns with the shire’s goals for increased sport participation. Both the Swan View Cricket Club and Swan View football Club expressed enthusiasm, noting that the new lighting will transform training and match experiences, making the facility a central hub for regional sports. Construction is slated to begin later this year.
