On February 26th, Mary Campbell and Laura Rowan presented a $3,000 donation to the Elizabeth Freeman Center, generated from hormone workshops and a screening of the PBS documentary “The M Factor: Shredding the Silence on Menopause.” The successful winter events drew nearly 200 local women, highlighting a growing interest in understanding menopause, a phase many women endure for about one-third of their lives. Meanwhile, Riverbrook Residence, Inc. announced the appointment of three new board members—Matthew Chester, Gretchen West, and Rebecca Wolin—each bringing valuable expertise to the organization that serves women with developmental disabilities. Additionally, Berkshire Community College has welcomed new faculty and staff while announcing several promotions, as well as the launch of a monthly networking event for LGBTQ+ leaders in the region to foster connections and collaboration.
