China has recently achieved significant milestones in the semiconductor sector, setting two world records: the mass production of the first 28nm embedded RRAM image quality adjustment chip and the development of the first 16-bit quantum bit semiconductor microprocessor chip. The 28nm chip, developed by Xianxin Technology in collaboration with various research institutions, is now being used in high-end Mini LED televisions, providing cost efficiency and improved performance through its innovative digital chip and embedded RRAM technology. Meanwhile, the research team from Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPU) has developed a 16-bit quantum microprocessor capable of simulating complex molecular spectra, which could enhance quantum chemistry applications. Both advancements reflect China’s growing capabilities in cutting-edge semiconductor technology.
