City Mayor Announces Installation of LED Lights on 31.63 km of Roads

City Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain announced the commencement of a project to install 1,265 smart LED lights along 31.63 kilometers of roads across 10 wards in Chattogram, with an investment of Tk 18.76 crore. During the inauguration on Abdul Hamid Road, Dr. Hossain emphasized the initiative’s role in enhancing safety and aesthetics as part of the city’s commitment to modernization and creating a “darkness-free” environment for residents. The lighting program, funded by the World Bank, features centrally controlled smart LED lights, allowing for efficient operation and maintenance. Key officials from the Chattogram City Corporation also attended the event.
