City of Dallas Partners with Lumetech and Lighting Science Group for Parking Garage LED Upgrade
The city of Dallas, Texas, has taken a significant step towards energy efficiency by becoming one of the first major U.S. cities to implement LED lighting technology in multiple parking garages. In collaboration with Lumetech Group and Lighting Science Group, Dallas is converting five downtown parking garages, including those at City Hall and the Dallas Public Library, to LED lighting. This initiative is projected to yield substantial energy savings of over 1,700,000 kWh annually, equating to a 60% reduction in energy use, marking a notable advancement in the city’s sustainability efforts.
