Cleveland Cavaliers Unveil NBA Arena’s Largest Lighting Rig, Enhancing In-Game Presentation

Rocket arena has unveiled the largest lighting rig in an NBA arena, enhancing the in-game experience for the Cleveland Cavaliers as they enter the playoffs as the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. Developed with guidance from Shine Entertainment, the system boasts 310 FX lights and 238 robotically movable lights that amplify game visuals, according to Cavs CMO Chris Kaiser. Inspired by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the rig allows the team to project images and messages, significantly enriching presentation elements during games. An early showcase of the lights occurred during a recent game against the Miami Heat, where fake snow and dynamic lighting accompanied a scoring run dubbed a “cavalanche.” With just five days of use, the Cavs see further opportunities to enhance their game ambiance.
