Colmenar Viejo Invests in Improved Lighting for Soccer Fields

The Municipal sports Complex ‘Lorenzo Rico’ and the Municipal Sports City ‘Juan Antonio Samaranch’ have successfully upgraded their lighting systems, enhancing conditions for local soccer players. Fabiola Cebrián Pérez, Councilor for Sports, noted that deteriorating spotlights had been impacting gameplay, prompting urgent action to replace them with energy-efficient LED lights. The renovations, costing €17,776.72 for ‘Lorenzo Rico’ and €38,937.80 for ‘Samaranch,’ were undertaken by the concessionary company Mistral 2010. This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Sports Department to improve lighting across all sports facilities in the municipality, ensuring better training conditions for the increasing number of athletes and teams.
