UK-based manufacturer Nanoco has entered into a joint development agreement with a global LED lighting company to advance its cadmium-free quantum dot (CFQD) technology, known for its exceptional color performance. This 12-month collaboration aims to integrate CFQD technology into high-volume LED lighting systems, potentially leading to product launches or further development thereafter. Nanoco’s CEO, Michael Edelman, emphasized the technology’s promise for broader LED lighting applications in various settings. Earlier this year, the company produced a significant batch of red CFQD for a Japanese client, securing a $2 million funding deal, showcasing its growing influence in the market. Financial details of the current agreement remain undisclosed.
