The initial phase of the project will include converting baseball diamonds to turf infields, expanding parking, improving lighting, and adding six pickleball courts along with two multi-purpose grass fields. The city has approved a $7.2 million contract with Oheil Site Solutions for these upgrades, aimed at enriching the experience for local leagues and attracting regional tournaments, including the return of softball events to Kettering Field. The improvements are part of a broader five-year strategic plan to address infrastructure needs, with an anticipated completion date of July 15, 2026.
