Dialight has established Dialight Japan KK in Hamamatsu as part of its global expansion in the industrial and hazardous LED lighting market. The new subsidiary has signed agreements to acquire assets and contracts from Japanese distributor I-Spec Ltd for £0.2 million and a 25% equity stake. This move targets Japan’s highly regulated industrial sector, which boasts over 50,000 facilities, making it one of the largest markets for industrial lighting. According to Roy Burton, Group Chief Executive of Dialight, this expansion is crucial for accessing stringent markets that align with their high-specification LED solutions and manufacturing practices, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth strategy.
