East Geelong Eagles Take Flight with Enhanced Sports Facilities

Players at the East Geelong Netball Club are celebrating the grand opening of a second court and significant new infrastructure at Richmond Oval, aided by a combined investment of $900,000 from the City of Greater Geelong and the Victorian Government. Councillor Melissa Cadwell and Member for Geelong Christine Couzens MP toured the new facilities, which include player and umpire shelters, competition-standard LED lighting, and safety netting. These upgrades, outlined in the 2022 Richmond Oval Facility Development Plan, aim to enhance the club’s capacity to grow and support local women and girls in the sport, allowing for increased membership and participation in netball.
