El Paso County to Decide on .2 Million Upgrade for Sportspark Lighting with LED Technology
The El Paso County Court of Commissioners is scheduled to meet on Monday to approve a major lighting upgrade at the El Paso County Sportspark, which will replace the existing lighting on the park’s 10 baseball fields with new LED systems. Estimated to cost around $1.2 million, the project is funded by a capital improvement bond approved by county residents last November. The new LED lighting aims to enhance safety and visibility for players while also reducing energy consumption by approximately 50%, leading to lower operating costs.
