Empire State Building Launches ‘KPOP DEMON HUNTERS’ Music-to-Light Experience Alongside Star Cast

The Empire State Building celebrated the premiere of “KPOP DEMON HUNTERS” with a dazzling Music-to-Light Spectacular on August 22, collaborating with Netflix, the Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment (CAPE), and iHeartMedia. During the event, stars Arden Cho, May Hong, and singer REI AMI illuminated the iconic building, showcasing the film’s hit song “Golden.” This landmark display is part of the film’s Golden Weekend, marking it as Netflix’s most-watched animated original and featuring the first Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping single by a female K-pop artist. The light show, designed by Marc Brickman, integrates thousands of LED lights choreographed to the music, emphasizing global culture and creativity in the heart of New York City.
