Enhancements Planned for Vancouver FC's Home Stadium

Vancouver FC is enhancing its home field at Willoughby Community Park with significant upgrades, including advanced lighting and improved seating, as preparations begin for the upcoming season. Installation of state-of-the-art lighting fixtures, compliant with CONCACAF standards, is set to enhance visibility for night games and create a more professional atmosphere. Additional upgrades, such as the introduction of the Eagle Club for premium seating, are planned as the team enters its third season in the Canadian Premier League (CPL). Team president Rob Friend has indicated that further improvements, including permanent amenities like bathrooms and concessions, are in the works in collaboration with local authorities. The season kicks off with VFC’s home opener against York United FC on April 6.
