A recent study conducted in Tasikmalaya City examined the effects of growing medium and white LED light intensity on the growth and yield of cowpea microgreens (Vigna unguiculata L. Walp). Utilizing a factorial randomised block design, the research tested rockwool and vermicompost as growth mediums under five different light intensities, revealing that both factors significantly influenced fresh weight, germination speed, microgreens height, and germination rate. Notably, the combination of 5000 lux light intensity and rockwool media yielded the best results, indicating optimal conditions for cultivating these nutrient-rich microgreens. The findings were published in the “Jurnal Biologi Tropis.”
