The findings revealed that 20 minutes of natural light exposure prior to awakening led to a noticeable improvement in wakefulness compared to continuous light or no light exposure. However, excessive early morning light was found to have detrimental effects, indicating that moderation is crucial. The study highlights the importance of optimizing bedroom environments to foster better sleep quality and morning readiness.
