Finnair has unveiled the first refurbished cabins for its Embraer fleet, set to enhance the airline’s short-haul services. The new design features 12 business class seats, a bright and airy aesthetic aligned with its updated wide-body fleet, and a color scheme that reflects the new Schengen lounge at Helsinki Airport. The airline plans to refurbish its entire fleet of 12 Embraer aircraft by spring 2026, with seven undergoing upgrades this winter. Highlights of the updated cabins include new LED lighting and lighter seats and carpets aimed at reducing fuel consumption by approximately 150 kg per aircraft. Although the total seat count remains at 100, the first nine rows will have slightly reclining seats, while the service concept will remain unchanged.
