New LED High Bay Light Exceeds Performance of 400W Metal Halide

On October 14, 2014, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced a funding opportunity of up to $10 million for solid-state lighting (SSL) research and development. This initiative, designated as DE-FOA-0001171, aims to support projects in three key areas: Core Technology Research, Product Development, and U.S. Manufacturing. Up to 10 projects will be selected, with concept papers due by November 14 and applications by January 15.
