Funding Secured for Daylesford Soccer Field Development

The Victorian Government’s Regional Community sports Infrastructure Fund will provide $269,780 to enhance Daylesford’s Victoria Park soccer field with new lighting infrastructure ahead of the 2026 season. This project, supported by the Hepburn Shire Council and Daylesford & Hepburn United Soccer Club, aims to improve safety and accessibility, aligning with the Council’s commitment to increased active living and participation in organized sports. Mayor Don Henderson noted that the upgrade will also promote diversity in participation, especially among women and girls, while club President Adam Sandler emphasized its potential to accommodate the club’s growing membership. Work is expected to begin later this year, with additional upgrades planned through federal funding.
