Funding Secured for Enhanced Netball Lighting at Stribling Reserve

Lorne’s Stribling Reserve is receiving support as part of the latest funding round from the Country football and Netball Program, which has allocated over $43 million since 2005 to enhance local sports facilities across Victoria. Announced by Minister for Community Sport Ros Spence, nine beneficiaries, including the Surf Coast Shire, will share more than $1.5 million, with Stribling Reserve set to upgrade its netball lighting for the Lorne Dolphins. Additional grants this year include significant funds for various upgrades across other regions, all aimed at improving participation and safety in local sports. Applications for the next funding round, closing February 26, 2026, are now open for regional and outer metropolitan councils seeking grants up to $250,000.
