Dee Harrison, a 56-year-old woman from Ipswich, was “slightly disappointed” after mistaking the bright glow above a nearby factory for the Northern Lights. Captivated by the striking pink and red lights she saw while driving on Paper Mill Lane, Harrison shared her photos online, prompting excitement from social media users. However, the source of the colorful display was later identified as LED lights from the Suffolk Sweet Tomatoes factory, which are used to promote plant growth. Locals, like 34-year-old Adam Cotterell, noted that this phenomenon is a common sight during winter months when fog or mist is present, though it pales in comparison to witnessing the actual auroras seen in recent weeks.
