Gary and Anna Gray have dedicated the past four years to creating a spectacular Christmas light show at their West Lothian home, now widely known as the “Armadale Illuminations.” Featuring over 24,000 lights and 150 props—ranging from an LED Christmas tree to whimsical candy canes—this high-tech display is synchronized with music and requires ten months of planning and six weeks of setup. Each December, hundreds flock to admire the enchanting spectacle, which has generated significant donations for charity, including Cancer Research and the British Heart Foundation. This year, they are fundraising for Alzheimer’s Scotland in memory of Anna’s grandmother, who suffered from dementia. Notably, 2024 will mark the final year of the couple’s impressive holiday endeavor.
