Battistini Vivai has launched VitroLeaf, Europe’s largest automated micropropagation laboratory located in Cesena, focusing on plant growth through advanced lighting technologies. In collaboration with lighting partner C-Led, the facility features the innovative VitroLeaf Tower, a robotized culture room standing 8 meters high and 67 meters long, capable of housing up to 3.5 million plantlets. The lab employs sophisticated LED lighting systems, climate controls, and specialized parameters tailored for different plant species, significantly enhancing production efficiency. With plans to produce 24 million plants in the next five years, the facility also prioritizes sustainability, utilizing energy from dedicated photovoltaic panels. Both Battistini and C-Led are sponsors of the upcoming Micropropagation conference in Viterbo, aiming to share knowledge and advancements in this field.
