Improvements and Repairs Scheduled for Lighting at Silver Beach County Park

Upgrades to the lighting at Silver Beach County Park in St. Joseph are on the way, as Berrien County Commissioner Jim Curran announced that the need to replace walkway and entrance lights has been prioritized due to liability concerns. To fund this project, plans to conduct fence repairs at the historical complex and security upgrades at Madeline Bertrand will be deferred. Parks Director Jill Adams noted that while the walkway lights are urgent, beach lighting improvements have been on the agenda for some time, allowing for simultaneous enhancements. These changes will better serve visitors walking by the beach in the evening.
