Islamabad Roads Enhanced with Installation of 1,419 New LED Lights

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has made significant strides in upgrading street lighting across Islamabad, with 1,419 LED lights installed and plans to complete the remaining fixtures by the end of the month. Chairman CDA, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, emphasized the importance of energy-efficient lighting for safety and aesthetics during a review meeting. Key areas benefiting from the upgrades include major roads like Srinagar Highway and Margalla Road, as well as public parks. The project aims to replace outdated lighting, reduce maintenance costs, and enhance nighttime visibility. In addition to the lighting initiative, the CDA discussed other major developments, including the Shaheen Chowk underpass and T-Chowk Rawat flyover projects, urging timely completion to uplift facilities for citizens and affirm Islamabad’s status as a modern capital.
