Karan Adani Expresses Commitment to Olive Ridley Turtle Conservation Efforts

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) Managing Director Karan Adani announced their commitment to conserving the Olive Ridley sea turtles, whose population is thriving at Gahirmatha beach in Odisha. Celebrating World turtle Day, Adani highlighted the company’s efforts to protect this vulnerable species, which is facing threats from human activity. The Adani Group has allocated Rs 30 crore for conservation initiatives, including measures like dark sky lighting to aid turtle navigation, patrolling support during migration, and community engagement to educate local fishers. Notably, the 2024-25 season saw approximately 6.89 lakh Olive Ridley turtles nesting at Gahirmatha, underscoring the success of these conservation efforts.
