Karan Adani Expresses Commitment to Olive Ridley Turtle Conservation Efforts

On World turtle Day, Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ), expressed pride in supporting the conservation of the vulnerable Olive Ridley sea turtles, whose population is thriving in Odisha. He highlighted the impressive nesting numbers at Gahirmatha beach, where nearly 6.89 lakh turtles nested in the 2024-25 season. APSEZ has established a Rs 30 crore conservation fund and implemented various protective measures, such as dark sky lighting to aid turtle movement and collaboration with local fisheries for education on conservation. Adani reaffirmed the company’s commitment to safeguarding these marine creatures and their ecosystems through community engagement and partnerships with wildlife authorities.
