La Salle Allocates ,400 for Pickleball Lighting at Rotary Park

Illinois Valley pickleball enthusiasts are closer to enjoying additional courts in La Salle, following the City Council’s approval of a $14,400 bid for lighting enhancements at Rotary Park. Mayor Jeff Grove announced plans to complete the courts by April 15, with the city previously adding six courts at Hegeler Park in September, bringing the total to 12. The initiative is supported by a $300,000 grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources aimed at enhancing outdoor recreational facilities, which allocates funds for both the new courts and parking lot resurfacing at Rotary Park.
