Lafayette College Teams Up with Sollum Technologies for Agricultural Research Initiatives

Lafayette College, led by Dr. Robert Elliott, has partnered with Sollum Technologies to explore the effects of advanced LED lighting on crop growth and quality in a cutting-edge research initiative. Utilizing Sollum’s customizable LED solutions, the college’s lab in Easton, Pennsylvania, features 12 independent research cells that allow for precise control of environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, and light. This design aims to produce actionable insights for growers, enhancing crop quality, productivity, and sustainability. The collaboration also includes support from Agritecture, enriching the research with expertise in urban agriculture and controlled environments, ultimately bridging the gap between academic research and practical farming applications.
