In a significant boost for local community facilities, the Victorian Government has announced over $450,000 in funding for three key recreation and leisure projects in Manningham. This includes $250,000 for the redevelopment of the Aquarena Aquatic and Leisure Centre, which will feature a new 50m outdoor pool and family-friendly amenities. Additional funding of $162,937 will go towards upgrading the LED floodlights at Domeney Reserve, enhancing safety for evening sports, while $40,000 will support the development of a comprehensive Manningham Recreation Strategy aimed at improving community sports and leisure opportunities over the next decade. Mayor Cr. Deirdre Diamante expressed gratitude for the funding, highlighting its importance for community health and well-being.
