Kompak has officially opened an innovative industrial plant in Etten Leur, The Netherlands, featuring exclusive LED lighting throughout its operations. The facility, designed for optimal production quality and environmental sustainability, utilizes Cree XLamp® LEDs installed by the Dutch LED pioneer LedNed. This advanced lighting system, including the custom Led Lightline, enhances visibility in the plant’s tall warehouse and features motion detection and daylight correction. As a result of this shift to LED technology, Kompak has reported a significant reduction of 20,000 kWh in electricity usage annually, equating to a carbon offset of nearly 135,000 kilograms. The integration of LED illumination ensures optimal lighting conditions for the facility’s three-shift operations, demonstrating a commitment to both efficiency and sustainability in manufacturing practices.
