As the holiday season approaches, Tuttle resident Angela Bumgarner is spreading Christmas cheer with her festive 1965 Volkswagen bus, adorned with a snowman and eight sets of LED lights. Known for her unique tradition, Bumgarner has been decorating her car for the holidays for a decade, utilizing a 12-volt converter and command strips to enhance its festive spirit. Oklahoma County law enforcement confirms that such decorations are legal, provided they do not mimic emergency vehicle colors and do not obstruct crucial lights. Emphasizing safety, Bumgarner ensures her brake and headlights are visible while driving and pulls over if she notices drivers distracted by her colorful display. This Saturday, she plans to showcase her holiday spirit at a Volkswagen Club Christmas Party.
